Emraan Hashmi’s Son, A Cancer Survivor, Gives An Emotional Speech On World Cancer Day - VIDEO

On the occasion of World Cancer Day 2020, Emraan Hashmi’s son Ayaan was one of the strongest speakers at the Nargis Dutt Foundation event hosted by Priya Dutt. Ayaan delivered a heart touching speech which in return got a standing ovation from fellow cancer survivor, Sonali Bendre.

In past few years, many Bollywood actors were diagnosed with cancer. Irrfan Khan, Sonali Bendre, Rishi Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana’s Tahira Kashyap, Emraan Hashmi’s son Ayaan, Rakesh Roshan, Manisha Koirala among others. While a few are currently under medical treatment, others have been announced cancer-free and became a strong cancer survivor. On the occasion of World Cancer Day 2020, Emraan Hashmi’s son Ayaan was one of the strong speakers at the Nargis Dutt Foundation event hosted by Priya Dutt.
At the event, Ayaan delivered a heart touching speech which in return got a standing ovation from cancer survivor Sonali Bendre. Emraan Hashmi’s son started his speech saying, “Yesterday was my birthday, surprisingly today is cancer day. I think it is a coincidence. So my first day I was doing this was at Tata Memorial Hospital event. That was pretty good too. But I think this one is going to be a little bit better because I am going to say something about cancer. Cancer is horrible, it hurts you in every way, mentally and physically but after I survived cancer, my whole life has changed. I was strong, I was a fearless leader. For (fighting) cancer, you need to have a few qualities and that everyone over here has. You need to be strong. Everyone is strong over here. Ayaan concluded saying, “To end my speech, I will only say one sentence ‘Cancer is curable’.” 

For the uninitiated, Emraan’s son was diagnosed with first-stage cancer when he was 2014. It was just last year, when Emraan had taken to social media to announce that his son has been declared cancer-free. The Bard Of Blood actor has co-written a book titled The Kiss of Life: How A Superhero and My Son Defeated Cancer along with Bilal Siddiqi.
